Still comming soon on NETFLIX

The Notebook
Yes, you’ve cried over this insanely overwrought romance starring a young Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams a billion times already, and no, it won’t hurt to watch it again. We’re not here to judge.

From October 1.

6 Days
Brit actors Jamie Bell and Mark Strong star alongside Abbie Cornish in this retelling of the six-day siege of the Iranian embassy, which took place in London in 1980.

From October 10.

The Babysitter
Pre-adolescent boy develops a crush on his babysitter: it’s a plot as old as time. But what if the babysitter wasn’t just a bored teen looking after kids for cash, but actually part of a satanic cult out to kill their young charge? Because that’s exactly what this comedy-horror film, starring Bella Thorne is about. The Baby-Sitters Club, this ain’t.

From October 13.

Suburra
Netflix’s fascination with all things gang-related (see Narcos, Lilyhammer and Breaking Bad for more) continues with Suburra – the first original series to hail from Italy. Set in modern day Rome, this is a tale of organised crime, politics and religion – and may well be your next binge watch.

From October 6.

1922
We’ve barely recovered from the remake of It, and there’s already a new Stephen King adaptation on the horizon (actually, there’s two: Gerald’s Game is streaming on Netflix now). Based on one of King’s short stories, 1922 follows a farmer who murders his wife – and is psychologically tortured for his actions in the worst ways imaginable. Both adaptations have had strong reviews, and neither is for the faint hearted.

From October 20.

Four Hot Trends At Paris Fashion Week

The fashion train choo-chooed to Paris, and the fashion week in the city of love is reaching its climax. Here are some of the things that are causing a stir on the catwalks: Vive le close cut! Former British model Naomi Campbell (C-R) and fashion designer for Off White, Virgil Abloh (C-L) acknowledge the public at the end of the Off White women’s 2018 Spring/Summer ready-to-wear collection fashion show in Paris, on September 28, 2017. / AFP PHOTO / FRANCOIS GUILLOT Oversized has been cut down to size. For the last two years the catwalks have been awash with sulking teenagers hiding in their hoodies, huge trailing trousers and enormous coats inside of which you could shelter a small family and their fridge. But with the look now filtering down to the high streets, fashion is off again in another direction. Paris Fashion Week has been remarkable for how the Spring/Summer collections are bringing clothes back to the body, with a much closer cut to shake off the studied sha...

Dropping on NETFLIX

Our Souls At Night Jane Fonda and Robert Redford finally reunite on screen for this adaptation of Kent Haruf’s Colorado-set novel about finding love in later life. Despite having lived next to each other for years, Addie Moore (Fonda) and Louis Waters (Redford), both widowed, only get to know each other after Addie pays an unexpected visit on her neighbour. Then they set about making the most of the time they have left.

The Return Of Carpenter Jeans

Ok, they might not be the most flattering trousers to be resurrected from the Nineties fashion hall of fame, but carpenter jeans (once beloved by buzzing teens in techno fields around the M25 orbital) are back, and this time they're glam. The twinset cardigan has replaced the baggy T-shirt for spring/summer 2018, and it's punked-out heels (rather than Buffalo boots) that are inspiring now. From Balenciaga to Valentino and Stella McCartney, the workaday staple has gone uptown - here's how to wear them now.
